Good Morning! Happy Christmas!
I’m sitting here typing and listening to my daughter on the baby monitor. She’s waking up happily and I suspect at any moment she’ll start to see that her room has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland and call for me.
And there’s coffee on my nightstand beside a lovely little storybook I read to her last night called, “You Are Special” by Max Lucado. A sweet and home-hitting tale about little wooden people and their outcast, Punchinello.
have more to be thankful for this year than I’ve ever noticed before. After what was undoubtedly the hardest year of my life (and faith), I have been so overwhelmed at God’s goodness and just plain abundant love. It was a year of taking off the spiritual “training wheels” and riding on my own two feet for the first time in my life. So much scarier than depending on everyone else to see for me, but the payoff has been astoundingly great, abundant, fruitful, peace-filled and joyful! This year I am giddy and achingly grateful for the babe in the hay.
If you’re feeling Scrooge-y this morning, take a few minutes to watch the videos on This Site of historical moments in history that will inspire you.
Merry Christmas, Everyone. Let’s count our blessings today, truly.
